Announcing Care Core's Pilot Launch
To answer the question at the top of your mind, we are launching our first pilot partners in late August. This is a very small cohort to receive feedback and refine design over the first several weeks. Our goal is to have a broader launch for everyone in Founding Core post-Labor Day.
No matter your exact launch date, we will work with you closely in the weeks up to and through the initial launch.
So over the next month, I encourage you to reach out to at hillary@carecore.io and I will personally make sure I help you with your preparations and marketing. Many of you are talented content creators already, and I am eager to help support your efforts to promote your Care Core-enabled offerings. If helpful, we can also find a time to chat.
Defining Expert Partners and Product Partners
Care Core is, at its core 😉 a platform of knowledge, products, and services powered by those who promote (sellers) and those who provide (suppliers).
Because these roles merge quite a bit due to the nature of health and wellness, we're simplifying by grouping partners into either Expert Partners or Product Partners.
Expert Partners are those among you who are leaders and founders who educate and otherwise host an audience. Product Partners might overlap in these roles, but on Care Core are providing a product (supplement, device, app) or in some cases a service (consultation).
Many Expert Partners are eager to also provide their own products and services to not only their personal audience, but also to the rest of the Care Core Community. We will support this more broadly in a future launch, so keep an eye out!
Behind the Scenes is All the Action
We feel incredibly lucky to have incredible early demand and signups from partners like yourself. We know that means that you may have been eagerly anticipating our launch for weeks, even months!
So we hope to explain what we've been doing behind the scenes that's been keeping us busy during this time. On the plus side, these are all hurdles you won't ever have to deal with because we're taking care of it!
Payment Processing with Stripe Connect
Some of you who work in the healthcare space have probably had trouble with payment processors in the past. This is because healthcare services and products that are clinical in nature are considered higher risk and require a more thorough review by platforms like Stripe. This is even more complicated and prolonged a process when dealing with pharmaceutical products (prescribed medications).
Luckily, because our team has dealt with this in our past companies, we jumped on this early and as of today, we're are officially approved to process payments with Stripe!
When you onboard, you'll create or connect your Stripe account to receive payouts for all of your memberships and products sold.
LegitScript Certification
There are all kinds of certifications in the world of healthcare and regulated industries, and one of them particularly relevant for clinical ecommerce is LegitScript. This is a third party certification required by not only Stripe, but also other major payment networks such as Visa and Mastercard.
While many startups try to avoid this process due to the upfront cost, we have opted to start this process early and in an expedited fashion so we can launch a more scalable platform immediately. While not complete yet, we are well into this process and expect it to be finished by our next update.
This certification will allow us to confidently process payments for a wide range of health and wellness products, from supplements and devices to clinical services, giving you the peace of mind that your transactions are fully compliant and secure.
